Allison jokes that time spent with her Carolina Improv Company family is like free therapy, which makes sense since laughter makes everything better! Growing up with two younger brothers in multiple North Carolina communities, she learned early to think on her feet and make stuff up as she went along.
As a kid, Allison fed her inner drama queen by participating in stage productions with the Mount Airy Little Theater, Greensboro Youth Theater, Asheboro’s Park Street Players, and the Bladen Lakes Players. Her first major role on stage was “Gretel” in “The Sound of Music” opposite her father as “Captain Von Trapp.”
All was well until her dad lifted her on his shoulders to cross the cardboard Alps; her acrophobia kicked in and she couldn’t stop giggling.
